The Company
This ASX-listed gold development company is advancing a significant Western Australian asset through study and toward production. Backed by strong funding and experienced leadership, the organisation is focused on building a long-life, scalable operation with a disciplined and integrated approach to project development and operational readiness.
The Opportunity
A key leadership opportunity exists for a Technical Services Manager to establish and lead the Technical Services function as the project transitions from development into operations.
This is a critical role responsible for integrating geology, mine planning and processing disciplines, ensuring that technical understanding is translated into practical, value-driven mining outcomes. You will play a central role in building the systems, processes and team capability required to support a successful transition into production.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the Technical Services function across geology, planning and grade control
- Develop integrated planning processes linking geology, mining and processing
- Define and implement grade control and mine-to-mill strategies
- Lead operational readiness activities ahead of first production
- Oversee grade control drilling, block model updates and reconciliation processes
- Build systems, workflows and reporting frameworks to support operations
- Identify and manage technical risks, uncertainties and optimisation opportunities
- Act as a key interface across Technical Services, Operations, Processing and Project teams
- Support budget development, resourcing plans and organisational design
About You
You are an experienced Technical Services leader with a strong background across geology and/or mining engineering, and a proven ability to operate across the full mining value chain. You are comfortable working in a developing project environment and bring a practical, solutions-focused approach to technical challenges.
You will demonstrate:
- Experience in gold or similar mineralisation systems, ideally within WA
- Strong understanding of grade control, mine planning and reconciliation
- Exposure to project development and transition into operations
- Ability to integrate geological interpretation with operational outcomes
- Proven leadership capability and experience building teams and systems
- A hands-on, pragmatic approach with strong communication and influencing skills
Why This Role?
This is a rare opportunity to shape the technical foundations of a major gold project as it moves toward production. You will play a pivotal role in defining how the operation performs from day one, working within a high-calibre team and contributing to the successful delivery of a long-life mining asset.
