Our client, a leading manufacturer with a strong national presence are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, production efficiency, quality control, and team development.

This role is ideal for a hands-on operational leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to make a direct impact on safety, output, and customer satisfaction.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in coordinating production, maintenance, stores and transport functions. You’ll ensure that targets are met safely, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards, while also stepping into full operational responsibility in the absence of the Operations Manager.

This is a leadership role that will suit someone with strong people skills, a focus on continuous improvement, and the ability to lead by example.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support day-to-day operational functions across manufacturing, transport, stores, and scheduling
  • Lead safety practices on-site and ensure all team members comply with PPE and safety protocols
  • Manage production output, quality checks and delivery performance to meet customer demands
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and help embed best-practice processes
  • Oversee site compliance, environmental standards and internal reporting requirements
  • Support workforce planning, training, and development of frontline team members
  • Act as the primary operational lead in the absence of the Operations Manager
  • Ensure site security, stock accuracy and machine readiness at shift handovers
About You

You’re a confident and capable operations leader with a strong grounding in manufacturing environments. You’re known for being solutions-focused and thrive on keeping people safe, engaged, and working efficiently.

You’ll bring:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, production or operations
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Sound knowledge of QA/safety systems
  • Excellent time management, conflict resolution and prioritisation skills
  • Good working knowledge of computer systems and reporting tools
  • Coaching or mentoring experience with frontline teams
