Northern Australia Civil is a privately owned civil services business operating throughout the Northern Territory and Western Australia. The Opportunity
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will lead the day-to-day delivery of plant and labour hire operations across multiple client sites throughout NT and WA.
The role is responsible for coordinating plant, operators and labour resources, ensuring client commitments are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You will also support selected civil projects and drive improvements in planning, utilisation and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead plant and labour hire operations across NT and WA , with travel to sites required
- Coordinate workforce rosters, plant allocation and mobilisation
- Manage client delivery requirements and operational issues
- Improve scheduling, resource utilisation and operational systems
- Lead supervisors, operators, labour hire personnel and project teams
- Monitor utilisation, productivity and operational costs
- Support safety, quality and compliance standards
- Liaise with the NAC workshop regarding servicing, repairs and workforce allocation
You are an experienced operational leader with a background in plant hire, labour hire, civil construction, mining or a similar industry. You bring strong commercial awareness, practical leadership skills and the ability to coordinate people, equipment and clients across multiple sites.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience in a senior operational leadership role
- Proven ability to coordinate plant, equipment and workforce resources
- Strong understanding of utilisation, service delivery and cost control
- Excellent planning, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capability
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Current C Class Driver Licence and White Card
