The Company

Our client is an ASX-listed Australian gold development company focused on advancing a significant brownfields project in Western Australia.

Following a successful capital raise and project acquisition, the company has refocused its strategy on progressing the asset toward development and establishing itself as a mid-tier Australian gold producer.

With drilling, technical studies and optimisation work underway, the project is currently progressing through pre-feasibility activities, with a pathway toward potential first production in 2028, subject to required studies, approvals and development decisions.

The Opportunity

Operating on a FIFO 2/1 roster, the Lead Planner will take ownership of the development, integration and control of the project schedule as the asset progresses from studies through development and execution.

Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the integrated project schedule across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover. A key priority will be developing a robust baseline schedule that provides clear visibility of project logic, critical-path activities, milestones, interfaces and delivery risks.

The role will work closely with project management, engineering, commercial, site and contractor teams to ensure planning inputs are accurate, integrated and aligned with the project’s delivery strategy.

About You

You will be an experienced Lead Planner or accomplished Senior Planner with strong hands-on scheduling capability and the confidence to take ownership of planning.

You will ideally bring:
  • At least five years’ planning and scheduling experience within mining, resources, infrastructure or major capital projects
  • Experience as a Lead Planner, or as a Senior Planner with responsibility for independently developing and controlling complex project schedules
  • Demonstrated experience developing baseline schedules from project scope, WBS and delivery strategy
  • Advanced Primavera P6 capability
  • Strong understanding of schedule logic, critical-path analysis, float, progress measurement and forecasting
  • Experience integrating engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning schedules
  • Strong cost and schedule integration capability
  • Experience reviewing and integrating contractor schedules
  • Greenfields or brownfields mining project experience, ideally across study and execution phases
  • A relevant qualification in engineering, project management, construction management or a related discipline
Why This Role

This is an excellent  opportunity to join a fast-moving ASX-listed gold development company, giving employees the chance to be part of a company scaling up toward mid-tier producer status. On offer it an excellent salary package commensurate to experience.
