Our client is an ASX listed emerging gold development company advancing its 100% owned high-grade project in Papua New Guinea, one of the region's most significant undeveloped gold assets. Following completion of the Definitive Feasibility Study confirming strong economics, the project is advancing along a clear pathway toward production.
The Opportunity
Based in Perth and reporting to the Chief Commercial Manager, the Lead Planner will play a key role in establishing and leading the planning and scheduling function for a major mine development in Papua New Guinea.
You will be responsible for building and managing an integrated project schedule across all phases of delivery, from early works and engineering through to construction, commissioning, and operational readiness, ensuring alignment across contractors, stakeholders, and project controls.
About you
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Manager, the Lead Planner will have the following skills and attributes:
- Extensive planning & scheduling experience across major capital projects (mining/resources preferred)
- Proven ability to build integrated project schedules from early-stage or low-maturity environments
- Advanced Primavera P6 capability (end-to-end schedule development, logic, baselining & critical path)
- Strong understanding of project controls frameworks (WBS, cost integration, forecasting, progress measurement)
- Experience integrating and challenging contractor schedules within an owner’s team environment
- Strong commercial, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to support senior decision-making
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, construction or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
