The Company

Our client is an ASX-listed Australian gold development company dedicated to advancing high-potential projects in Western Australia’s rich gold regions, and has quickly refocused its strategy on a large-scale gold development with the aim of establishing itself as a mid-tier Australian gold produce
Following a successful capital raise and the acquisition of a brownfields project,  the company is now progressing the asset toward development. This includes ongoing drilling, technical studies, and optimisation work, with a pre-feasibility study currently underway as the company moves toward potential first production in 2028

The Opportunity

The Lead Planner role will operate on a FIFO 2/1 roster and is responsible for developing, integrating, and controlling the project schedule to support delivery in line with approved budget, schedule, and performance targets. The position plays a key role in linking schedule and cost to enable accurate forecasting, maintain capital discipline, and support informed decision‑making throughout the project lifecycle.
The role will involve developing and maintaining the integrated project schedule across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover activities. This includes monitoring schedule performance against approved baselines, assessing cost and schedule impacts, and implementing progress measurement systems aligned to both cost and schedule requirements. The position also delivers integrated cost and schedule performance reporting and supports the ongoing development of planning standards and procedures.

About you

Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the Lead Planner will have the following skills and attributes:
Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience/exposure to mining.
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Mining or similar), or Project Management, Construction Management, or related discipline
  • Prior experience as a Lead or Senior Planner on capital projects
  • Strong cost-schedule integration capability
  • Advanced Primavera P6 proficiency
  • Experience in Greenfields/Brownfields mining projects preferred
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Commercially astute, pragmatic, and comfortable operating in lean owner teams.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence technical and executive stakeholders.
