The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to develop core estimating skills while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.
You will play a key role in supporting the estimating function, contributing to accurate project pricing, tender preparation, and overall commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and tenders for steel fabrication and supply projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Perform quantity take-offs and assist with cost analysis
- Liaise with internal teams including sales, production, and procurement
- Source pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Maintain and update estimating databases and records
- Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems
- Tertiary qualification (or currently studying) in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general systems
- Strong communication skills with a willingness to learn
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
