The Company

Our client is an ASX-listed gold development company advancing a significant mineral project within the Asia-Pacific region. Backed by a substantial resource base, strong technical foundations and renewed project momentum, the organisation is progressing through Definitive Feasibility Study activities and positioning itself for development and construction readiness.
With major permits in place, ongoing optimisation work underway and project funding activities commencing, the company is strengthening its project delivery capability to support the successful execution of critical infrastructure and enabling works.

The Opportunity

A unique opportunity exists for an experienced Infrastructure & Engineering Superintendent to join the owner's team and play an important role in the delivery of infrastructure projects supporting a large-scale gold development.
Operating in a remote project environment, you will provide site-based leadership and technical oversight across a range of critical works including marine infrastructure, road construction, community relocation activities and supporting site infrastructure. You will act as the primary interface between the owner’s team and contractors, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant execution of works while maintaining strong oversight of project fleet assets and maintenance activities.
This is a hands-on leadership role offering significant exposure to a major international mining development as it transitions toward construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide owner's team oversight of infrastructure and civil construction activities.
  • Monitor contractor performance across safety, quality, cost and schedule outcomes.
  • Oversee delivery of road, marine, earthworks and supporting infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate fleet maintenance activities and manage maintenance service providers.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits and progress reviews.
  • Identify project risks and support mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare project reports and performance updates for senior leadership.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and community-related project activities.
  • Assist with construction execution planning and infrastructure delivery strategies.
  • Foster a strong culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
About You

You are an experienced engineering, construction or infrastructure professional with a strong track record overseeing contractors on large-scale mining, civil or major project developments.
You bring practical field-based leadership experience, excellent contractor management skills and the ability to balance safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives in challenging project environments.

To be successful, you will ideally possess:
  • 10+ years' experience within mining, infrastructure, construction or major projects.
  • Experience managing roads, wharves, marine facilities, earthworks, utilities or similar infrastructure works.
  • Strong understanding of construction management and project execution.
  • Exposure to fleet maintenance coordination and asset reliability activities.
  • Demonstrated experience working within remote or international project environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and reporting capabilities.
  • Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
Why This Role?

This is an opportunity to join a project at a pivotal stage of development and contribute directly to the successful delivery of critical infrastructure works that will underpin a major future mining operation.
You will enjoy a high level of autonomy, broad project exposure and the opportunity to work closely with experienced project leaders while helping shape the future success of a significant international resource development.
