About the Role

The Board is seeking a General Manager to lead all aspects of club operations, with a strong emphasis on member satisfaction, strategic planning, financial stewardship, and team development. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned hospitality executive with exceptional leadership capabilities and a proven track record of delivering outstanding membership experiences. An understanding of golf is preferred but not a requirement. The General Manager will report directly to the Board and play a pivotal role in shaping the club’s future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a first-class member experience and foster an inclusive, service-oriented culture.
  • Oversee golf operations, including course maintenance, events, and golf development programs.
  • Manage club finances: develop and monitor budgets, optimize costs, and identify revenue opportunities through entrepreneurial initiatives
  • Develop marketing and sponsorship initiatives to enhance member engagement and club visibility.
  • Lead, coach, and develop department heads and staff to create a high-performing team culture.
  • Work with the Board to define and execute strategic priorities and long-term planning.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in membership-based organisations, private clubs or businesses that prioritize service excellence. They will possess strong financial acumen linked with commercial understanding, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams. Strategic thinking and the ability to translate vision into actionable plans will be essential for success in this role.
