The role

The successful appointment to the Director Corporate Services position will provide strategic financial oversight and credible, values-driven leadership to the Directorate, consisting of approximately 160 employees across: finance; people services; technology and digital services; work health and safety; and property and commercial services. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, building trusted relationships with Council will be a key requirement of the role. The role ensures the City remains well‑positioned to meet current and emerging community needs by driving strong governance, sustainable financial management and contemporary corporate service delivery.

The candidate

If you are a finance professional with demonstrated experience of fostering a high-performing, values-driven culture at a senior or executive level, preferably within Local Government or similarly complex, multi-disciplinary environment, we would be interested to hear from you. Experience in driving vison and strategic goals to achieve positive outcomes and optimise performance is essential, as is the ability to build and sustain stakeholder relationships. A decisive and energetic professional with the ambition to progress to this critical role, the ideal candidate will bring the unique combination of effective leadership, community focus and corporate nous.

Package and application details

The Total Reward Package range for this five-year contract is $280,000 to $340,000.
