About Forest Products Commission

FPC (Forest Products Commission) is a Government Trading Entity (GTE) that delivers timber products and services across three business segments – plantations, native forest and sandalwood. The  team engages with communities, industry and government to support a vibrant and sustainable forestry industry.
FPC owns and manages softwood plantations to support WA’s housing and construction industry. They are actively investing in the acquisition of new land and plantations to ensure future supply and assist in addressing the challenges of climate change.
FPC has transitioned its native forest business in alignment with the government’s changes in forest policy.  This has resulted in a shift from commercial scale forest harvesting to the provision of services to the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Attractions for forest health outcomes.

About the role

FPC is seeking an exceptional individual to join them in a newly-created Deputy Chief Executive Corporate (DCE Corporate) role. This is a rare opportunity to influence the strategic direction of a small but high-impact Western Australian Government trading enterprise and lead a diverse corporate services portfolio that underpins our operational success and long‑term sustainability.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and serving as a key member of the Executive team, the DCE Corporate provides contemporary, strategic leadership across all corporate functions to meet evolving business needs.
This role is pivotal in shaping FPC’s strategic direction, strengthening organisational capability, and ensuring robust governance and compliance. You will drive innovation, optimise corporate systems, manage risk, and ensure FPC meets its financial and non‑financial performance expectations.
The DCE Corporate also performs a critical role in managing high‑level relationships with the Minister, the Board of Commissioners and key external stakeholders.
Further details regarding the duties and responsibilities can be found in the attached Job Description. To find out more about our business visit www.fpc.wa.gov.au to view our annual report.
