The International teams engage in targeted marketing activities including cooperative marketing campaigns, familiarisations, PR and destination training.

About the role

Tourism WA is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Country Manager – Germany to join our high-performing Marketing team, working from our Frankfurt office. In this pivotal role, you will lead the strategic direction for the German-speaking European market and drive innovative marketing campaigns that showcase Western Australia as a must-visit destination — attracting high-value visitors and delivering real results for the state.

We have one permanent, full time (37.5 hrs p/w) position available, located in Frankfurt.

As our Country Manager – Germany, you will take the lead in shaping the strategic direction for the German-speaking European market, delivering targeted marketing programs that elevate Western Australia’s profile as a premier travel destination.
Your efforts will play a key role in driving visitor growth and economic return, while bringing WA’s unique tourism experiences to life in alignment with our global brand strategy.

Based in Frankfurt, Germany, we are looking for candidates who have:
  • Understanding and experience in formulating and developing trade and consumer marketing campaigns (including digital marketing) with proven results.
  • Experience in the travel and tourism industry particularly relating to the German markets.
  • Preparedness to undertake frequent German domestic and international travel.
  • Proficiency in German and English, both written and verbal.

Pre-employment conditions

To be considered for this role, applicants must be based in Germany and willing to work from Frankfurt.  Other requirements include being a permanent resident of Germany or possess relevant working permits to legally work in Germany. Documented proof of working rights must be provided with application. 
Other conditions specific to this role are:
  •  Ability and willingness to undertake travel for business needs
  • Ability to work outside business hours, including weekends.
