Our client is an ASX listed emerging gold development company advancing its 100% owned high-grade project in Papua New Guinea, one of the region's most significant undeveloped gold assets. Following completion of the Definitive Feasibility Study confirming strong economics, the project is advancing along a clear pathway toward production.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Lead Contracts and Cost Administrator, this Perth-based position will play an integral role in supporting the procurement and commercial delivery of a major greenfields gold project.
This is far more than a traditional contracts administration role. You will be actively involved in the tendering of significant capital construction, engineering and infrastructure packages, supporting the full procurement lifecycle from market engagement and tender preparation through bid evaluation, contract award and ongoing commercial administration.
Working alongside technical, engineering and project teams, you will prepare tender documentation, coordinate RFQs and RFPs, manage bidder communications and clarifications, assist with commercial evaluations, maintain tender registers and recommendation-to-award documentation, before supporting contract execution, variations and post-award administration.
This is an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience across major project procurement while contributing to the successful delivery of a large international mining development.
About you
The Contracts Administrator will have the following experience:
- Qualifications in Commerce, Business, Procurement, Law or a related discipline
- Around five years' experience in contracts, procurement or commercial administration
- Experience supporting tendering activities on capital construction, infrastructure, mining or major projects
- Exposure to preparing RFQs, RFPs, tender packages and commercial evaluation documentation
- Understanding of procurement governance, contract administration, variations and commercial documentation
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple procurement packages simultaneously
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience working within document or contract management systems
Why This Role
This is a rare opportunity to become part of a growing owner's team as a significant international gold project moves from study into execution. You'll gain exposure to the procurement of major capital construction packages, work closely with experienced commercial professionals, and develop broad project delivery experience within a highly regarded ASX-listed mining company. An attractive remuneration package is offered commensurate with experience
