The Opportunity
The Central Services Manager will lead the day-to-day delivery of the business support functions. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will oversee finance administration, people processes, systems, facilities, compliance and business development support.
This is a practical, hands-on role for someone who enjoys improving processes, supporting others and making sure important tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the finance, administration and business support team
- Oversee invoicing, accounts, payroll inputs, budgets and monthly reporting
- Manage recruitment coordination, onboarding, employee records and other people processes
- Maintain compliance, insurance, contracts, policies and business records
- Coordinate IT support, systems, offices, equipment and key suppliers
- Support CRM, opportunity tracking, marketing and bid coordination
- Improve workflows and move suitable administrative tasks away from technical staff
- Provide clear updates, recommendations and reports to the leadership team
This role will suit an organised and commercially minded manager who is comfortable working across different business functions and getting involved in the detail when needed.
We would like to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
- Experience managing business operations or shared services in consulting, engineering, professional services or another project-based environment
- Experience across areas such as people operations, compliance, contracts, systems, facilities or supplier management
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence using Microsoft 365 and business systems
- Clear communication, sound judgement and a reliable approach to follow-through
