The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced CAD Drafter to support a six-month project focused on reviewing, updating and standardising technical drawings across a portfolio of approximately 30 facilities.

Working independently, you will be responsible for converting legacy Public Works drawings into a new drawing standard and producing accurate Works As Executed (WAE) documentation for inclusion within Operations & Maintenance manuals.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented AutoCAD professional who enjoys project-based work and takes pride in producing high-quality, accurate technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret existing Public Works drawings and documentation
  • Convert and redraw legacy drawings to align with current drafting standards
  • Produce accurate Works As Executed (WAE) drawings for O&M manuals
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy across drawings for approximately 30 buildings
  • Maintain drawing registers and project documentation
  • Work autonomously to deliver project outcomes within established timeframes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Demonstrated experience as a CAD Drafter, Draftsperson or AutoCAD Technician
  • Strong AutoCAD proficiency and technical drafting capability
  • Ability to interpret existing drawings and replicate drawing standards accurately
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality documentation
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage your workload independently
  • Experience within engineering, manufacturing, utilities, construction, infrastructure or building services environments will be highly regarded
