Our client is seeking an experienced CAD Drafter to support a six-month project focused on reviewing, updating and standardising technical drawings across a portfolio of approximately 30 facilities.
Working independently, you will be responsible for converting legacy Public Works drawings into a new drawing standard and producing accurate Works As Executed (WAE) documentation for inclusion within Operations & Maintenance manuals.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented AutoCAD professional who enjoys project-based work and takes pride in producing high-quality, accurate technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret existing Public Works drawings and documentation
- Convert and redraw legacy drawings to align with current drafting standards
- Produce accurate Works As Executed (WAE) drawings for O&M manuals
- Ensure consistency and accuracy across drawings for approximately 30 buildings
- Maintain drawing registers and project documentation
- Work autonomously to deliver project outcomes within established timeframes
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience as a CAD Drafter, Draftsperson or AutoCAD Technician
- Strong AutoCAD proficiency and technical drafting capability
- Ability to interpret existing drawings and replicate drawing standards accurately
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality documentation
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage your workload independently
- Experience within engineering, manufacturing, utilities, construction, infrastructure or building services environments will be highly regarded
- Casual contract engagement for an initial six-month period
- Competitive hourly rate of $45-$50 per hour plus superannuation
